About CSAPS

sandy_2As the 43rd President of the Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (CSAPS), I welcome you to our website. It is a great privilege to hold office in this Society and I value this opportunity to invite you to become better acquainted with our mission. The Canadian Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery is the only professional organization in Canada dedicated to improved cosmetic surgery outcomes through education, research, and the maintenance of high surgical standards of clinical practice.

Our membership of over 160 surgeons, is comprised of fully trained and certified specialists in Plastic Surgery who have demonstrated their commitment to excellence in the Cosmetic and Aesthetic areas of our specialty of our specialty. The demand for cosmetic surgery has never been greater. However for patients seeking a competent well-trained professional to provide that surgery, the search can seem confusing. This website is intended to help prospective patients identify a well-qualified and recognized Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon in your geographic area. The triangular logo at the top of this page is your confirmation that the surgeon is a Plastic Surgeon with a special focus on Aesthetic surgery.

More than ever before, our members are focusing their educational and research activities on patient safety and risk reduction; both are paramount to good surgical outcomes. These will remain major themes at our upcoming Annual Conference in Toronto on September 19th and 20th 2014. The quest to merge the latest in techniques and technology with the highest possible level of patient safety is the fine balance championed by the members of this Society, the CSAPS, since our founding in 1972.
